Summary:
The Driver provides transportation services to the Lakeview Residents, both within the facility and outside of the facility.
Operates Pine Run Lakeview vehicles for all resident transportation needs as specified in the Resident Handbook.
B.
ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibility Expectations Provide Transportation Services Provides any assistance necessary for the health and well being of a resident or staff, transporting them away from the scene of an emergency or assisting on site.
Transports residents via wheelchair, vehicle, or by arm support at Lakeview, in the community or on trips off campus.
Trips off campus include transportation to and from medical appointments, therapy appointments, and transportation to the emergency room as appropriate.
Trips also include providing transportation and assistance at recreational functions, including shopping trips and meals at local restaurants.
Assists resident in and out of wheelchair or vehicle.
Maintains a Daily Log Completes incident reports as necessary.
Picks up movies, library books, etc for activities.
Performs errands for the administration to include, but not limited to bank deposits, post office runs.
Maintain a Clean and Safe Working Environment Performs routine vehicle maintenance, including, but not limited to:
getting gas, checking and filling oil and other fluids, cleaning and polishing vehicles, checking and maintaining tire pressure, and inspecting vehicles for obvious problems.
Exhibit Professional Behavior Demonstrates understanding and complies with Lakeview at Pine Run's EXPOSURE PREVENTION PLAN for occupational exposure of blood borne pathogens.
Adheres to Lakeview at Pine Run Policies and Procedures, to include Fire/Disaster Plan Demonstrates ability to be flexible and to adapt to change C.
OTHER
Responsibilities:
- Works overtime as needed, either on campus or off, for special trips.
- Other transport tasks include, but are not limited to:
transporting lab specimens from Lakeview to Doylestown Hospital; picking up videos or other needed items for Residents' programs; transporting Marketing prospects to Pine Run at request of Marketing Department; - Provides transportation services to Pine Run out-reach facilities as necessary.
- Picks up supplies for various Lakeview departments off campus as requested.
- Assists the maintenance technician as needed with moving belongings of new residents and with in-house transfers.
- Assists other departments, as coordinated by the Administrator, between resident appointments.

Qualifications:
Must pass required health screen and testing before employment begins and yearly thereafter, as applicable to the position.
Must have an acceptable criminal history report as defined by the Older Adults Protective Services Act and its amendments.
Must be 21 years of age.
Must have current Pennsylvania drivers' license and acceptable driving record as reported by the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles.
Must have a high school diploma, GED diploma or active registry status on the Pennsylvania nurse aide registry.
Must pass the online Department of Public Welfare approved direct care training course.
