Job Description:
PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Marketing Specialist works closely with the Director of Marketing to execute the development, implementation, management, and analysis to optimize Doylestown Health's brand, marketing and advertising strategy and overall market share.
A primary function of the Marketing Specialist is to lead in execution of internal and external marketing tactics to achieve business objectives.
This includes all elements of the marketing mix; new products/services, digital and mass media advertising initiatives, social media, and content creation.
In addition, maintains an ongoing awareness of customer research, community relations, market conditions, and competitor data relative to Doylestown Health.
Oversees marketing coordinator in planning, organizing and successfully executing marketing strategies, tactics, programs, initiatives, and campaigns.
Essential Functions:
Strategic development and tactical execution.
Works directly with Director of Marketing and in unison with the advancement team in development, implementation/tactical execution and evaluation of all marketing plans related to Doylestown Health.
Ensures consistent quality, accuracy and brand integrity across all channels.
Marketing systems management; project, staff and budget management.
Implements standardized marketing practices and procedures developed by Marketing Director in collaboration with the VP, Advancement and communications team to achieve organization marketing goals and objectives; monitors budget and leads project intake channels (ie.
project management, record/track internal mar/com requests).
Internal and external client engagement.
Referring physician development and patient lead generation.
Works with Director of Marketing to develop and implement referring physician marketing plan to promote Doylestown Health.
Also maintains collaborative relationships with hospital physicians/staff, key service lines and departments, the VIA, and external hospital partners/affiliates.
Implements digital strategy and execution.
Works with marketing team and vendors to improve health system website performance.
In collaboration with Marketing Director, Marketing Technology manager and agency/third-party partners, aim to enhance user experience, proactively update web content, establish website SEO and SEM; increase social media engagement.
Market Research & Program Development.
Utilizes quantitative and qualitative market and system information to guide analysis of competitive and industry trends as related to designated business units.
Provides input to product or program design and development to meet the needs of key customers.
Maintains brand integrity and evolution; Works with marketing and communications teams to ensure cohesive creative look and feel of system and service line materials.
Executes collateral development including brochures and direct mail marketing initiatives.
Demonstrated understanding of goals and best practices to meet client needs in an effective and cost-efficient manner.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English or related field is required.
Experience:
A minimum five years of experience in marketing; preferred experience in hospital/healthcare/consumer experience marketing.
Must have demonstrated project management and account/client management with senior leadership experience and background in writing, social media, advertising best practices.
Knowledge of resources, market and business data and ability to apply this information in the development, implementation, measurement and evaluation of marketing programs.
Must have direct experience development of abstract concepts applied to creative materials, and the management of key marketing functions including marketing liaisons, production/graphics, digital marketing, agency relationships, and directing market research initiatives.
Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills, and strong business acumen.
Must be a team player, consensus builder and persuasive presenter.
Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex responsibilities, perform market and business analysis, strategic planning and program management, with documented outcomes, be able to work independently and make decisions under pressing timelines and circumstances.
Must exercise strict budget control.
Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and research/analysis tools, content management systems such as Sprout Social, Mailchimp, Yext.
