Performs duties necessary to provide a safe, clean, and orderly environment for patients, surgeons and other staff in Surgical Services (OR, PACU, SDS and InPatient GI).
Essential Functions:
1.
Provide a clean and orderly environment in all Surgical Services areas.
2.
Actively support the optimization of patient flow through all of Surgical Services.
3.
Exhibits excellent customer services skills and provides safe and efficient patient interaction with consideration for age-specific accommodations.
4.
Actively participates and supports department and organizational quality initiatives and goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
Able to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language.
High School Diploma/GED required.
Experience:
Environmental Services or other hospitality related experience preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, equipment, handling of waste disposal and soiled linen handling preferred.
Other Skills:
Ability to work independently and be part of a team Must possess the ability to problem solve, demonstrate good judgement and make good decisions.
Ability to function under occasional pressure.
